The beautiful buliding of the Parliament is one of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites.It can be visted with a guided tour wich takes approximately 1 hour.The Holy Crown and the Hungarian crown jewels as well as the parlors, the upper and lower chamber’s conference room are also included in the tour.The guided tour is in several languages,entrance fee applies.The eaisest way is to take Metro 2 to Kossuth tér.
If there is only on church you would like to visit while in Budapest, then it should be the one.This is the largest church in Budapest and it was named after (István) St. Stephen who eastablished the Catholic Hungarian state.Free except: watch out tower -HUF 500
Vörösmarty square is the real center of public life in Pest.It connects Duna-korzó – the promenade along the Danube – with Váci street, which is the most well-known pedestrian street in Budapest.If you are a Hard Rock Café fan, do not go further- it is right here on Vörömarty square.For those with a sweet tooth, the 150 year old traditional Gerbeaud Café is recommended where they can taste indigenous Dobos cake, Esterházy cake or the Gerbeaud bar.
Gellért hill rises 130 meter above the Danube.With its steep rock faces overhanging the river, it is one of the most interesting natural features of the capital.If feel like a little hiking start from St. Gellér Square and take the footpath to the summit, to the huge Statue of Liberty.A woman holding a palm boat over her head, which is one of the symbols of Budapest.Once you are up you will be flattered by the panoramic view.

Budapest as a capital boasts the most spas in the world.Its thermal baths and its beaches are undoubtedly renowned throughout the world.Most of them have a historic relevance as well and bear a special atmosphere:many of them were established by the Turks ( Király, Rudas Baths) and are still opertaing after 500 years.Some have panoramic, or situated in specially designed Art Nouveau building, such as Gellért. Széchenyi thermal bath is to be found in the heart of City Park is the biggest spa complex in Europe.If you want to add some adrenaline to your vacation try giant water slides and fun elements of Aquaworld.
It can be found in the City park just a few minutes walk from Heroes’ square.The romantic buliding complex, built around the 19th- 20th century, was designed by Ignác Alpár, and it presents the developmenet of architecture using different styles.At the foot of the castle there is an artificial pond.In the summer it operates as a boating pond, while in the winter it is turned into an ice rink.It is worthwhile taking a walk in and the around the Castle courtyard of the castle. Entry free.The baroque quarter of the Castle houses the the Hungarian Agricultural Museum (Entrance fee applies)
