The tour started on time and was custom-made ,we were a group of 9 people with adults and kids. Our tour guide Gábor was great. It’s a great option for me to see main tourist attraction while getting amazing photos specially since I was traveling soloSightseeing Photoshoot around the heart of Budapest This was such an enjoyable, informational, and profound experience during my trip to Budapest and I have absolutely no regrets purchasing this sightseeing photoshoot with Gábor. First of all, it was incredibly kind of him to do this on an actual holiday. Unfortunately it was one of my only free mornings, but he promptly and kindly picked me up at my hotel and we walked and used local transit to visit a multitude of sights. Honestly the whole experience was incredibly breathtaking, especially during the early morning hours when hardly any tourists or locals were out. If you’re like me and don’t consider yourself particularly photogenic, let me tell you Gábor kept me immediately at ease. He has an artistic eye, is incredibly patient, and makes sure you get fantastic shots throughout the process. I don’t always prioritize myself in pictures when I travel (much to my mother’s dismay), but this allowed me to partake in not only a historical tour around Budapest but to have myself immortalized in the process. It was such a lovely experience to hear about a local individuals thoughts and insights about Budapest and its history. I highly recommend booking this, especially as a teaser; then, if a certain sight sticks out to you, book an in depth tour later on. I also recommend (if possible) to do the photoshoot in the early morning hours. We started around 6:45am. Communication was seamless and effortless (we used Whats App). He also payed for my transit for the day and graciously allowed me to pull him into a coffee shop since I essentially live off of it (I work 12 hour night shifts in the US). Coffee = Life. Lol! Be prepared for walking. Local transit will also be utilized but I just wanted to be transparent and thorough about the process. Thank you Gábor, again, for everything. You brought a happy tear to my mother’s eye and an experience that I’ll hold dear for the rest of my life.Excellent Walking Tour and Photoshoot I had an amazing introduction to Budapest with Gabor. We got lost a few times as the guide could not find the entrance to the cemetery. We ended up walking on the actual road for a while as there was no sidewalk and some cars had to swerve or change lanes to give us room (single lane each way). We found the cemetery interesting when we finally got to it (cemeteries are always interesting to us). We did not quite finish the tour as we had spent too much time trying to find the cemetery, and it was getting dark and we were exhausted. I think this was more of a guide issue, rather than District VIII being uninteresting (from we learned about the place from another tour guide today). It also took some effort to follow what the guide was saying because of her accent and her fluency needs work. For us, it was a total waste of a full afternoon and we could have done something else. The guide still asked for her tip, although not too much she said as she lost us. What about our time? We missed out on going to Visegrad as this tour took an entire afternoon.Gábor-best guide we ever experienced We thoroughly enjoyed our tour with Gábor. The tour visited the opera house, the basilica and went around the area of the Buda Castle. The tour guide got on very well with the participants of the tour, and he dealt with people from several nationalities. There was a visit to a coffee shop, and I was one of the participants that had a friendly chat with him in the shop. During the tour, I found that the guide was multilingual. I heard him speak a few phrases in several languages during the course of the tour. At the end of the tour, he was very helpful to people in providing directions to places of interest.Photo tour we had an arming time on the tour. We learned a lot of amazing facts not only about Budapest but the whole of Hungary. Did you know Hungary is a wine country? Neither did we because they only make small batches of wine and only true wine efficianados seem to know of this. We not only learned all this history but also got to have great images taken of our experience. We recommend that you take a tour with Gabor and do so early in your visit to Budapest. He has a wealth of knowledge about things to see and do in this beautiful city. He speaks excellent English and he showed/explained many interesting things during the tour. He provided us with excellent advice on things to do on our own during our stay. We loved his insights on Hungarian political, linguistic, and ethnic history. In summary, a tour with Gabor is a very worthwhile investment!!Segway tour- Budapest Castle What a great Segway tour! From start to finish the tour was professional and a lot of fun! Gabor the tour lead was really knowledgable of Budapest's history and sights and also made sure that we were all safe. I'd recommend Gabor and the company for future tours.Best Way to Experience Budapest I booked a trip to see Budapest by cycling and taking photos. I had the best experience learning about the history of Budapest, visiting some of the best tourist spots, and stopping for a traditional treat midway through the tour. I wish I would have booked this tour at the beginning of my trip! The best part was the attention to detail that Garbor shared along the way. He took the time to customize the tour based on what I wanted to experience while I was on the tour. He also recommended places that I should visit while I was there. I had been on several tours while I traveled through 5 countries. This tour was hands down the best one I went on. As I went in 2014 for the first time to Budapest, I really wanted to do a guided tour, to get to know more of the Hungarian lifestyle, culture and other habits. I contacted "Budapest Walking Tours" and immediately we planned a date. The tour was amazing. Gàbor is a very polite, experienced and competent guide. His personal and individual approach makes you feel comfortable. Even if you have been there before, there are still enough places to discover.Essence of Budapest Tour We had the pleasure of learning the "essence of Budapest" with a fantastic guide - Andras Urskan. He is extremely knowledgeable not only of the various sites but the history, culture, architecture, etc. of the city. He enthusiastically points out things you would never be aware of as a tourist. You discover Budapest with a very nice local (Gábor), who knows very much about the environment. You see places you would never discover on your own.
